Marcia Stremlau

Since the summer of 2001, Marcia Stremlau has owned Handworks Gallery in Blue Hill, Maine where she shows local artists and artisans during the months of May through December. During the winter months she paints at her studio in Brooklin, Maine and travels to shows and artists studios looking for new work to show at the gallery.

Marcia studied art at Lake Erie College, The Art Students League and College of the Atlantic.

More recently she has taken workshops at Haystack, Port Clyde, and
The Farnsworth Museum. She has also participated in Art Week at Great Spruce Head Island.

Marcia works in watercolor and ink on paper and acrylic on wood and canvas. Currently she is creating single edition accordion books and Japanese screens in watercolor, ink and cut paper.
